Trial first

Book the trial 3–6 weeks out. The day itself runs on what you decided there.

  • A trial is a regular Blowout or Makeup booking 3–6 weeks out. Say "wedding trial" in the notes.
  • Want Jennifer to stay through photos for touch-ups? Ask in the notes and she'll quote it.
  • One stylist means one slot at a time. Four people with both services is most of a morning. See the timeline below.

How the morning runs

Jennifer works one person at a time, about an hour per service. Bride goes last for hair and makeup so you're freshest for photos. Here's a 2 p.m. ceremony with a bride + three.

  1. Jennifer arrives, sets up, coffee
  2. Bridesmaid 1: hair + makeup
  3. Bridesmaid 2: hair + makeup
  4. Mother of the bride: hair
  5. Bride: hair + makeup
  6. Ceremony

Times are estimates. Bigger parties may need an earlier start or a second stylist, which Jennifer can help you arrange.

Try it first

A trial is the whole look, start to finish, a few weeks ahead. You'll see how it photographs, how long it lasts, and what to tweak. Jennifer notes every product so the day is a rerun, not a redo.

Wedding questions

How far ahead should I book?

Most dates fill 2–4 months out; holiday weekends go earlier. Request your date first, then book the trial 3–6 weeks before.

Do you charge a deposit?

You accept the quote in My Requests and Jennifer confirms the date.

How many people can you do?

Comfortably, a bride plus three to five with one service each, or a bride plus two with both. Beyond that, start earlier or add a second stylist.

Can you come to a venue outside your area?

Usually. Enter the venue address in your request and the travel line in your quote will say exactly what it costs.

What should we have ready?

Clean, damp hair for blowouts, clean skin for makeup, a chair by an outlet, good light, and the schedule taped to the wall.
